The Canyon Lake POA invites the community to attend a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the community’s newest amenity, Vacation Park, on Friday, February 24, at 3 p.m.

Officially opened on August 21, 2022, Vacation Park features a pump track, playground, picnic area, walking trail, and fitness stations.

In May 2021, members voted in favor of the development of Vacation Park, formerly Sierra Park North, and authorized the POA to spend an amount not to exceed $2 million, with a 10 percent contingency, from the Capital Improvement Fund to fully develop the park.

The park was originally named Sierra Park North; however, due to the name being confused with Sierra Park West and Sierra Park East, the POA decided to rename the park through an internal renaming contest for POA employees.

The winning name, “Vacation Park,” was submitted by Assistant General Manager Lynn Jensen. The park’s name was changed to Vacation Park prior to its opening.
