RivCo Animal Services seeks public’s help locating dogs involved in donkey attack

Riverside County Department of Animal Services (RCDAS) is asking for the public’s assistance in locating two dogs involved in a burro attack that occurred on Tuesday, March 31. The burro was attacked near Keissel Road, where a resident witnessed and recorded the attack on a cell phone.

RCDAS animal control officers made contact with the witness, who provided video footage and photos of the dogs. Officers also gathered additional information from other residents in the area.

Following the report, animal control officers patrolled the vicinity and confirmed that the donkey had died as a result of the attack.

The two dogs involved in the attack are a large black Cane Corso and a black-and-tan shepherd mix.

Community members who have information about the dogs, observe suspicious activity, or encounter injured wildlife are asked to contact RCDAS at (951) 358-7387. All incoming calls during closed hours will go to the after-hours line for emergencies.
