
Members of the Riverside County DA’s Office-led Riverside County Child Exploitation Team and San Bernardino County sheriff’s deputies recently rescued a three-week-old infant who was reportedly being sexually assaulted at a residence in Yucca Valley.
Task force members assisted by San Bernardino County sheriff’s deputies conducted a welfare check on the infant and safely removed the child from the home.
Keith Tyerman, 33, was arrested at the residence. The San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office is prosecuting the case and has filed charges against Tyerman. For additional information about this case, click here.
The Riverside County Child Exploitation Team is comprised of local, state, and federal enforcement officials dedicated to proactively monitoring and tracking registered sex offenders to ensure their compliance with registration requirements, and to protecting children through community education and the identification, apprehension, and prosecution of those who commit internet crimes against children.
The task force works in partnership with the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, the Beaumont, Murrieta, and Riverside police departments, California Department of Corrections & Rehabilitation, FBI, Inland Regional Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking task force, U.S. Department of Homeland Security, and U.S. Marshals Service.
