Riverside County health officials open new COVID-19 vaccine site in Moreno Valley

The former Sears building at the Moreno Valley Shopping Mall is being converted to a COVID-19 vaccine site.
The new site, located at 22550 Town Circle, will begin vaccinating on Monday, March 8, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The former Sears location, found on the store’s second floor, replaces the Corona High School vaccine site, which closed on March 5. The Riverside University Health System-Public Health team is transferring to the new location in Moreno Valley.

“The Corona High School location was a great site and the people there were fantastic,” said Kim Saruwatari, director of RUHS-Public Health. “We are looking forward to coming to Sears because there is so much potential there.”

The former Sears site is one of more than a dozen locations available through the county’s website, www.rivcoph.org/covid-19-vaccine, for vaccine appointments.
