Riverside County healthcare and frontline workers started receiving the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine this week.
The vaccinations will be achieved in phases and over the course of several months. The timeline of who receives the vaccine and when will be determined by a number of factors, including the projected arrival and amount of vaccines provided to Riverside County.
Phase 2 includes high-risk individuals such as the elderly and those living in congregant care organizations. As the supply of vaccine increases, those with the highest risk of becoming infected and spreading COVID-19 will receive vaccines.
