The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department invites the public to see K-9 teams from all over the country compete to claim the “Top Dog” Award at the K-9 Trials on Saturday, November 9, at 8 a.m. at the Ingalls Event Center at 3737 Crestview Drive, Norco. Admission is free.
This exciting competition will showcase the skills of K-9 units as they vie for the prestigious “Top Dog” Award. Dog and handler teams will compete to test narcotic detection, evidence location, protection, agility, and obedience.
For law enforcement agencies, these competitions are instrumental in the further education of K9 teams by comparing training programs and team performance.
This event will also feature a Public Safety Fair, activities for kids, food vendors, event merchandise, raffles, and a meet and greet with the Riverside County Sheriff’s K-9 team.
Representatives from local fire departments, the Riverside County Underwater Search and Recovery Team, Mounted Posse, Hazardous Device Team, Special Enforcement Bureau, and Aviation Team will be on-site to provide demonstrations to the public while the K9 teams compete.
