The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department presented a public safety update for the City of Canyon Lake for the months of August and September. The update was presented to the City Council on October 7.
In the month of August, deputies responded to 464 calls for service. Eleven Part 1 crimes were reported: three aggravated assaults, two burglaries, and six thefts.
Deputies made two public intoxication arrests and eight DUI arrests. Overall, 14 arrests were made. Deputies issued 12 traffic parking citations and took six traffic collision reports.
In the month of September, deputies responded to 429 calls for service. Nine Part 1 crimes were reported: two aggravated assaults, two burglaries, three thefts, and two motor vehicle thefts.
Deputies made two public intoxication arrests and three DUI arrests. Overall, 12 arrests were made. Deputies issued 14 traffic parking citations and took two traffic collision reports.
Police services are provided by the City of Canyon Lake through a contract with the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
