During the June meeting of the Canyon Lake City Council, Captain James Rayls of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department presented the first quarter crime stats for the City of Canyon Lake.
In January, there were 234 dispatched calls and 221 proactivity calls, for a daily average of 7.54 calls. Five felony and three misdemeanor arrests were made. There were two aggravated assaults, one robbery, six larcenies, six traffic collisions, one fatal traffic collision, two DUIs, and three traffic citations.
The average response times in January were 7.26 minutes for Priority 1 calls, 23.51 minutes for Priority 2 calls, 28.91 minutes for Priority 3 calls, and 51.82 minutes for Priority 4 calls.
In February, there were 185 dispatched calls and 211 proactivity calls, for an average of 6.6 calls. One felony and five misdemeanor arrests were made. There were seven larcenies, one burglary, 11 traffic collisions, four DUIs, and 21 traffic citations.
The average response times in February were 8.30 minutes for Priority 1 calls, 17.31 minutes for Priority 2 calls, 39.44 minutes for Priority 3 calls, and 54.81 minutes for Priority 4 calls.
In March, there were 184 dispatched calls and 231 proactivity calls, for an average of 5.93 calls. No felony and two misdemeanor arrests were made. There were two aggravated assaults, five larcenies, six traffic collisions, five DUIs, and six traffic citations.
The average response times in March were 7.58 minutes for Priority 1 calls, 26.32 minutes for Priority 2 calls, 34.96 minutes for Priority 3 calls, and 39.15 minutes for Priority 4 calls.
