On June 22, Vanny was arrested and booked into the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility on charges of aggravated kidnapping, sexual assault by force or fear, and forced oral copulation, according to jail records.

Vanny’s bail was set at $1M. According to jail records, he was released on June 23 and is scheduled to appear in court on August 5.

Vanny has been placed on unpaid administrative leave pending this investigation.

Vanny was hired by the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department in May 2016. He was most recently assigned to the Hemet Sheriff’s Station.
