A Riverside County Sheriff’s Office employee was arrested for allegedly embezzling public funds for personal use.
On March 13, investigators from the Riverside Sheriff’s Special Investigation Bureau began an investigation into an employee of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office who embezzled public funds for personal use.
The investigation determined that Supervising Court Services Assistant Renee L. Wilson, 51, knowingly misappropriated approximately $54,000.00 in Riverside County funds.
On June 2, Wilson was arrested in Jurupa Valley without incident and booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center on one count of misappropriation of public funds, three counts of grand theft, two counts of embezzlement by a public officer, and four counts of forgery.
Wilson began her employment with the department in April 1998 and was most recently assigned to the Civil Division at Courts West. She retired from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office in May 2026.
