In recognition of his longstanding commitment to public safety and support for law enforcement professionals, the Riverside Sheriffs’ Association named Senator Kelly Seyarto (R-Murrieta) the 2026 State Elected Official of the Year.
A retired firefighter and vice chair of the Senate Public Safety Committee, Senator Seyarto has championed policies that support law enforcement and strengthen public safety. Throughout his legislative career, he has advocated for commonsense public safety measures that prioritize accountability, support victims, and ensure first responders have the tools and resources they need to serve and protect the public.
“I am truly honored to receive this recognition from the Riverside Sheriffs’ Association,” Senator Seyarto said. “The men and women who serve in law enforcement put themselves in harm’s way every day to keep our communities safe, often making tremendous sacrifices on behalf of others. They deserve leaders who will stand with them, support them, and ensure they have the resources they need to do their jobs safely and effectively.”
Senator Seyarto represents California’s 32nd Senate District, which includes the cities and communities of Aguanga, Anza, Borrego Springs, Canyon Lake, Chino Hills, Corona, El Sobrante, French Valley, Homeland, Julian, La Cresta, Lake Elsinore, Lake Mathews, Lakeland Village, Menifee, Murrieta, Norco, Sage, Temecula, Temescal Valley, Wildomar, Winchester, Woodcrest, Yorba Linda, and parts of Riverside.
