More than 80 whimsically decorated golf carts adorned with twinkling lights and an array of holiday decorations converged for Canyon Lake’s 13th Annual Golf Cart Parade and Toy Drive on Sunday evening.
The Golf Cart Parade has become a cherished tradition in Canyon Lake, bringing the community together in a celebration of creativity and holiday spirit.
The Canyon Lake Fire Department, followed by Santa’s Sleigh, led the spirited fleet of carts down Canyon Lake Drive to East Port Park.
With thousands of spectators lining the streets, the parade brought joy to every corner it passed. The sound of holiday tunes echoed from the carts, spreading holiday cheer.
The festive procession made its way to East Port Park for a festive gathering, where vendors offered tasty eats and drinks. Awards for the best-decorated carts were announced, adding an extra layer of competition and creativity to the celebration.

“I’m so blown away by the amazing outpouring of support by those who participated in the parade and came out to watch it,” parade organizer Mike Shroyer said. ” What an awesome community we live in. We will let you know the total number of toys donated once we receive them all. Wishing everybody a blessed and merry Christmas.”
Residents can still join in the spirit of giving by participating in the Toy Drive by Sunday, December 17. A designated toy donation bin is located at 22055 Mustang Court. Donated toys will benefit the International Christian Adoption Agency, Behel Christian Adoption Agency, and a local elementary school.
