Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station investigators and members of the Special Enforcement Team on Thursday located and arrested a 31-year-old San Juan Capistrano man suspected of sexually assaulting a Lake Elsinore child.
In July, the Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station Investigations Bureau began an investigation into allegations of sexual assault against a child. After an extensive investigation, the suspect was identified as Javier Loma-Moreno, according to Sergeant Jeff Reese.
On August 13, Loma-Moreno was arrest and eventually transported to the Cois Byrd Detention Center in Murrieta. Jail records show he was booked on suspicion of lewd and lascivious acts against a child less than 14 years old and penetration of a child less than 14 years old but greater than 10 years old. He is scheduled to appear in court on August 17.
