Santa Rosa Academy (SRA) held a ribbon-cutting ceremony today to officially open Monterey Hall, marking the completion of the final phase of its campus buildout, a journey that began in 2012.
The new 29,000-square-foot, two-story facility features 16 classrooms and a dedicated theater space. It expands capacity for the elementary program while providing a permanent home for performing arts.
“Today we gather to open Monterey Hall and mark the full completion of our campus buildout,” Superintendent Dr. Robert Hennings said. “It has been my honor to blend the vision of our founders with meeting the needs of today and fulfilling the dreams of tomorrow in the design of Monterey Hall. This building is more than classrooms and hallways, it is a promise that we will continue investing in education, in music and the arts, and in the well-being of every student who walks through these doors.”
Members of the board, including President Eric Russell, joined Dr. Hennings in cutting the ribbon. Following the ceremony, guests toured the new facility.
