Sexual offender compliance sweep in Moreno Valley results in 13 arrests

A multi-agency sexual offender compliance sweep was conducted on Wednesday in the City of Moreno Valley.

Compliance was conducted at 68 locations with approximately 115 registrants. As a result of this operation, 13 arrests were made for parole violation and other charges.

Individuals arrested include Alfred Flores, 29, David Aday, 65, James Perkins, 41, Roy Esquivel, 40, Prince Ikenador, 25, Kevin Maus, 58, Selwyn Injety, 42, Jason Amie, 42, Jarrod Jackson, 31, Sean Taylor, 28, Tristen Smith, 34, Timothy Barber, 46, and Taye Dada, 30.

Assisting agencies consisted of the Moreno Valley Investigations Bureau, Moreno Valley Special Enforcement Team, Moreno Valley Community Services, Jurupa Valley Special Enforcement Team, Lake Matthews Investigations Bureau and Special Enforcement Team, Perris Special Enforcement Team, Special Enforcement Bureau – K9 Team, US Marshals, RCCET – Riverside County Child Exploitation Team, CDCR Parole – California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, Riverside County Probation, and the Riverside County District Attorney’s office.

The Moreno Valley Sheriff’s Station will be conducting similar sweeps on an ongoing basis to verify that registered sex offenders are living at their reported residences and in compliance with state requirements pursuant to California Penal Code section 290.

Residents of Riverside County can visit the Megan’s Law website, www.meganslaw.ca.gov, to familiarize themselves with the sex registrants in their community.
