The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department received 128 calls for service for Canyon Lake during the Fourth of July weekend, according to Lieutenant James Rayls. Sixteen of the calls were fireworks-related.
In addition to calls for service, there were three traffic collisions, one DUI arrest, and one public intoxication arrest.
Police services are provided by the City of Canyon Lake through a contract with the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department. For emergencies, call 911. For non-emergencies, call 951-776-1099, extension 5.
Community Patrol services are provided by the Canyon Lake POA and can assist with incidents such as barking and loose dogs, illegal fishing, loud noise complaints, motorcycle riding in the community, speeding vehicles, parking violations, and other non-emergency incidents.
