A shooting in the City of Perris left one person dead on Thursday.
On August 7 at approximately 8:49 p.m., deputies from the Perris Sheriff’s Station responded to a report of an assault with a deadly weapon at the intersection of Woodward Street and Elizabeth Street and located an adult male on the ground suffering from a possible gunshot wound. Despite life-saving measures, the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The victim’s identity is being withheld pending the notification of the next of kin. The suspect(s) are unknown at this time.
