Six-year-old Canyon Lake resident Tegan Perry took second place in his first-ever golf tournament this past weekend. Perry missed the top spot by just one stroke. The two-day tournament was held on Saturday, October 30, and Sunday, October 31, at the Legends Golf Club.
Perry has been golfing since the age of three. He attends golf lessons twice a week at the Canyon Lake Golf and County Club. The first-grader will be competing in a drive, chip, and putt contest on November 14 at the Murrieta Valley Golf Range.
In addition to golf, Perry plays soccer, races Stacyc bikes, and enjoys wakeboarding and wakesurfing. Representing the Canyon Lake Wakeboard Club, Perry performed in the ShowCal Skiers Ski Show on October 2. His mother, Tawny Perry, said he is looking forward to competing in water sports in 2022.
