On Sunday evening, the Sports Stop Bar & Grill gave back to the community in a generous way, providing a free catered Italian meal to about 70 seniors at the Canyon Lake Senior Center.
The event brought smiles, full bellies, and a sense of camaraderie among the attendees.
Those in attendance enjoyed a spread of classic Italian dishes, from savory pasta to warm garlic bread, all prepared and served by Sports Stop owner Ria Riley.
After dinner, attendees indulged in cotton candy, courtesy of the Canyon Lake Insider, and desserts brought by some of the guests.

“We wanted to do something special for the seniors,” Riley said. “They’re an important part of our community, and we felt this was a great way to show our appreciation.”
Many of those attendees express their gratitude for the delicious meal and the chance to spend quality time with fellow Canyon Lakers.
Back in June, Riley prepared a free Mexican meal for the seniors, featuring tacos, rice, beans, and chips and salsa.
