The Southwestern Riverside County Museum Collaboration Group has launched a new Local History Museum Passport, inspired by the National Park Service’s Passport to Your National Parks book.
The passport encourages people to visit eight local history museums in the area: Menifee Museum, Lake Elsinore Museum, Little Temecula History Center, Hemet Museum, Murrieta Museum, Perris Museum, Temecula Valley Museum, and Hamilton Museum.
The passports are available at each participating museum. Each museum included in the passport has its own unique rubber stamp, allowing guest to mark their visit and create a personalized keepsake.
The goal is to promote historical awareness, support local museums, and inspire community engagement through interactive learning and travel.
The Local History Museum Passport offers longtime residents and curious travelers an enjoyable way to discover the stories that shaped Riverside County.
