Stater Bros. modifies hours, places limits on high demand items

Stater Bros. Markets announced that all 169 Stater Bros. Markets locations will temporarily modify their operating hours to 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., effective March 15. The reduced hours will allow sufficient time to thoroughly clean stores, restock merchandise and ensure a safe and healthy shopping experience for customers and employees.

Beginning Wednesday, March 18, stores will open at 7:45 to give seniors ages 65 and older early access to shop for essential items in a less crowded environment

To ensure product availability for all its customers, limits will be placed on high demand items.

“The Company is working around the clock to get product to our stores as quickly as it becomes available. Be assured that all of our merchandise is being sold at its everyday price,” said Stater Bros. CEO Pete Van Helden.

Preventative measures have been implemented to protect its customers and employees, including increased and enhanced daily cleaning and sanitizing procedures in all areas of the store, educating and continued reinforcement of the use of proper handwashing techniques to its employees, providing sanitizing wipes for customer use near the entrance of the store, and continued regular sanitizing of food service areas per FDA food code requirements.

“For nearly 84 years, we’ve worked hard to ensure the needs of our local communities are met, and as long as the shopping experience remains safe, our stores will remain open. We’re in this together to keep our community safe,” Helden said.
