This week’s heavy rains caused flooding of Canyon Lake’s causeways, prompting the POA to temporarily close the north causeway and one lane of the main causeway yesterday.
Residents were notified of the closure via the city’s CodeRED notification system. The ultra-high-speed telephone communication service allows the city to telephone all or targeted areas in case of an emergency where rapid and accurate notification is essential for public safety.
The city encourages all residents to sign up for emergency notifications at www.cityofcanyonlake.org.
