On February 5, deputies responded to a report of a burglary at Elsinore High School. School officials had found that a subject entered a classroom in the early morning hours on February 4 and stole several items and damaged property.

On February 8, deputies received a lead in the case and responded to the 15600 block of Grand Avenue in Lake Elsinore where they detained a subject later identified as 19-year-old Ryan Joseph Spencer of Lake Elsinore.

Spencer was found to have an outstanding felony warrant for burglary, according to Sergeant R. Thomas. Through their investigation, deputies located the stolen property taken from the school. Spencer was booked into the Cois M. Byrd Detention Center for burglary. The property was returned to the school.

This is an ongoing investigation. Anyone with additional information is asked to contact Deputy Enriquez at the Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station at 951-245-3300.
