Suspect arrested in Lake Elsinore robbery

On April 11 at 8 a.m., Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station deputies responded to a report of a commercial robbery at a business in the 18000 block of Collier Ave.

According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, the suspect placed numerous items in his waistband and exited the store without paying. 

Known to employees from previous thefts, the suspect allegedly threatened employees with a “large tool” when confronted.

Deputies and the Riverside County Sheriff’s Special Enforcement K9 team responded and located the suspect with stolen items in his possession.

The suspect was identified as 33-year-old Stanford Stringer of Lake Elsinore. Stringer was taken into custody and booked for robbery. He is being held in lieu of $50,000 bail.
