Suspect in Murrieta stabbing remains unidentified

The suspect involved in a stabbing in the City of Murrieta on Monday evening remains unidentified.

On December 15 at approximately 7:45 p.m., the Murrieta Police Department responded to a report of a stabbing after a caller reported that a male had come to his residence for help and stated that he had been stabbed.

Officers arrived and located a 44-year-old victim with a stab wound to his shoulder. He was transported to a local hospital, where he remains in stable condition.

The victim provided limited information regarding the incident but described the suspect as a Hispanic male between 20 and 30 years old who fled in an unknown direction, according to the Murrieta Police Department.

With the assistance of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department helicopter and the Murrieta Police Department K-9 unit, a coordinated search of the neighborhood was conducted. Despite these efforts, officers were unable to locate the suspect.

Additional evidence was located on Whitewood Road and collected as part of the ongoing investigation.

Detectives are actively pursuing multiple leads in an attempt to determine additional facts related to this case, including the location where the stabbing occurred and the identity of the suspect.
