Take a virtual tour of Canyon Lake’s waterfront holiday displays

The Yacht club produced a map of the best displays for residents who have their own boats and wish to go on their own self-guided tour.

Due to the current COVID-19 surge, the Canyon Lake Yacht Club canceled its tour of the waterfront homes scheduled for the evening of December 19.

Judges had already determined the winners of the Waterfront Display Competition and the club was anxious to show them to the public via a tour on the Yacht Club boats; however, the club felt that the risks outweighed the benefits, resulting in the cancellation of the tour.

The Yacht Club named Lucky Cove the winner of the Best Neighborhood Display. Photo provided by the Yacht Club.

To give all Canyon Lake residents the opportunity to enjoy the waterfront holiday decorations, the Yacht Club produced a video and posted it on its YouTube channel at https://youtu.be/pA-EhV_PplE.

The home of Rick and Dawna Thibodeaux, Cove 13 on the map, was named Most Beautiful Display. Lucky Cove, Cove 2 on the map, was named Best Neighborhood Display. “These were unanimous selections by our judges,” said Yacht Club Vice Commodore Ron Wilbur. The winners will be presented with awards.
