The Riverside County Sheriff’s Southwest Station held a DUI and Driver’s License Checkpoint on August 28 between the hours of 8 p.m. and 1 a.m. in the 40400 block of Winchester Road.
According to Sergeant Joseph Greco, six drivers were arrest for driving under the influence, eight drivers were cited/arrested for operating a vehicle unlicensed, and four drivers were cited/arrested for driving on a suspended license. Seven vehicles were towed.
Funding for this program was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
