The Murrieta Police Department has identified a suspect who allegedly stabbed a man on December 15 on Whitewood Road near Rockcrest Drive in the City of Murrieta.
On December 15 at approximately 7:45 p.m., the Murrieta Police Department responded to a report of a stabbing after a caller reported that a male had come to his residence for help and stated that he had been stabbed. Officers arrived and located a 44-year-old victim with a stab wound to his shoulder. He was transported to a local hospital.
The victim provided limited information regarding the incident but described the suspect as a Hispanic male between 20 and 30 years old who fled in an unknown direction. Officers were unable to locate the suspect.
During the investigation, the suspect was identified as 38-year-old Eric Hill, an unhoused individual last known to be living in an encampment in Temecula, where the victim in this case also resided.
