Temecula man arrested on suspicion of murder, slain bodies found in Hemet

Temecula resident David Alan Floyd, 59, was arrested today and booked on suspicion of murdering two individuals.

On February 18, Angel Ponce, a 31-year-old male from Escondido, was reported missing by family members. On February 23, Danielle Ricker, a 31-year-old female from Temecula, was also reported missing.

Both Ponce and Ricker lived at the same residence in Temecula and the evidence suggested they were deceased, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.

Investigators from the Central Homicide Unit responded to the Southwest Sheriff’s Station on Sunday at 4 p.m. and learned of a report of two missing people who were presumed deceased.

The following day, a search warrant was served at the home of David Alan Floyd in the 34000 block of Galleron Street in Temecula. Floyd was arrested and booked into jail on suspicion of killing Ponce and Ricker.

On March 2, investigators located the remains of two people believed to be Ponce and Ricker near the area of East Benton Road and Sage Road, in the unincorporated area of Hemet.
