Temecula, Murrieta to host Halloween Home Decorating Contest

The City of Temecula is collaborating with the City of Murrieta to host a Halloween Home Decorating Contest. Residents will enter the contest in their respective city and homes will be judged based on the category of their choosing. Both cities will select a winner for each of the four categories. Then, the public will choose one overall winner based on the winners from each city, thus declaring the King of Halloween.

Enter as an individual residence or as a neighborhood. All decorations must be in the front yard. The judging categories include Scariest, Funniest, Most Original, and Best Theme.  

Temecula residents: Applications will open on Thursday, October 1. The deadline to register is Friday, October 23. Photos of the home decorations must be submitted to [email protected] for judging by Monday, October 26. Temecula residents can register here starting October 1. 

Murrieta residents: Applications will open on Thursday, October 1. Photos of the home decorations must be submitted to [email protected]. for judging by Monday, October 26. Voting for an overall winner will run from October 27 to October 29. The top vote-recipient will be announced on Friday, October 30. Murrieta residents can register here starting October 1.
