Temecula to host 16th Annual Special Games

In partnership with the Temecula Valley Unified School District, the City of Temecula will be hosting the 2024 Temecula Special Game.

This inclusive event will take place on Saturday, March 16, from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Great Oak High School football stadium, 32555 Deer Hollow Way.

Special Games is an event designed to cater to athletes of all ages with developmental disabilities, providing them with a platform to participate in non-competitive games and an awards ceremony.

Each athlete will be paired with a high school volunteer, who will act as a buddy during the event and participate alongside the athlete. Adult volunteers will assist with the various games and activities, fostering a welcoming and encouraging environment for all participants.

All athletes will be presented with a participation medal. Student volunteers will receive community service hours.

Pre-registration is required for this free event. Volunteer registration closes on Friday, March 8, at 5 p.m. The deadline to register as an athlete is Wednesday, March 13, at 5 p.m. For more information, visit
