Ten teams battled it out in the Canyon Lake Bassmasters Club monthly tournament on Saturday.
Keneti Faagata and Mark White reeled in first place with 16.24 lbs. Faagata also reeled in the biggest fish of the tournament, a bass weighing 4.57 lbs.
Fishing solo, Joe Merrill took second place with 15.74 lbs., followed by Mauro Megalo and Damon Hole in third place with 15.06 lbs.
All fish caught were released back into the lake after weigh-in.
Canyon Lake residents who enjoy fishing and want to improve their skills in a friendly, competitive environment are invited to join the Bassmasters Club. Boat ownership is not required. Monthly fishing tournaments are held from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the first Saturday that follows the first Wednesday.
