The Canyon Lake Tennis Club seized the opportunity to help a local family in need during its Annual Turkey Trot Team Mixer on Saturday.

Club members donated several bags of food and more than $2,000 in cash and gift cards to a local family affected by the coronavirus pandemic and other hardships. Club Secretary Jeananne Woodman facilitated the cause and presented the family with the gifts.

“I was blessed to be able to be the one to witness a family who was so grateful for all of our food, gift cards, and monetary donations,” Woodman said. “The family expressed so much joy and gratitude. With deep gratitude and appreciation, we say thank you to the Canyon Lake Tennis Club members and the board.”

Mike Porter, Michelle Porter, Laurie Pulley, Sandy Wible, Hal Graves, Tom Bol, and Melissa Bol of Team 3 won the tournament. The High Score awards went to Tom and Melissa Bol.
