Three Canyon Lake POA Board seats up for election

Three of the five seats on the Canyon Lake POA Board of Directors are up for election in May when the two-year terms of Renee Griffiths and Tim Cook expire. The seat currently held by Alex Cook, no relation to Tim Cook, will also become vacant in May. In August 2022, Alex was appointed by the board to fill the seat vacated by Brian Bock, who resigned with nine more months left of his term. All three board members are eligible to run for another term if they choose to do so.

Homeowners interested in running for a seat on the board must be a Canyon Lake POA prime or associate member in good standing and submit an Intent to Run form to the POA office.

Intent to Run forms will be available at the POA office starting Tuesday, January 31. Completed Intend to Run forms must be submitted to the POA office no later than Thursday, March 2, at 3 p.m.

The Canyon Lake POA has a five-member board of directors, who are collectively responsible for the management and operation of the POA’s business affairs. The directors are elected by at-large for staggered two-year terms. The terms are staggered with three directors in odd years and two directors in even years.

Associate members are not entitled to vote in the election. Prime members have one vote per unit/lot/parcel owned.
