Three Hemet residents arrested on suspicion of looting Fairview Fire evacuation area

Three Hemet residents were arrested and booked on charges of burglary and looting in an evacuation area.

On Saturday, September 10, around 1:39 p.m. deputies assigned to the Fairview Fire incident were dispatched to the area of Coralee Lane and Diamond Valley Road to investigate a suspicious person call of three people casing the neighborhood in a white Chevrolet Blazer.

During a search of the area, deputies located a broken window to a residence in the 31400 block of Coralee Lane and conducted a security search of the interior. During the search, two additional suspects were found hiding inside and in possession of stolen property, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department reported.

The suspects were identified as Deven Jessica Hooker, 31, John Jason Blackwood, 42, and Michael Edward Serrano, 50, of Hemet.
