A trailer belonging to local Boy Scout Troop 2011 was stolen from a Lake Elsinore storage unit sometime between mid-January and March 9.

“Our leader went to retrieve the trailer for our weekend campout and discovered it was gone,” Troop Leader Susan Thomas said. “Due to the weather, we have been postponing campouts so we haven’t needed the trailer or checked on it since January.”

Among the items stored inside the trailer include four full patrol kits, camping stoves, cooking gear, four or five propane tanks, four E-Z UP canopies, five folding tables, lodge poles for pioneering activities, camping games, and the Troops’ wooden sign.

Parents are lending their personal camping equipment until the Troop can recoup the items stolen in the trailer.

The Troop sign shown in this photo is among the items stolen along with the trailer. Photo provided by Susan Thomas.

The trailer is a 16-foot Mirage and was purchased soon after the Troop was formed in 2011. “We just replaced all of the tires in 2021,” Gamble said.

The license plate number is 4PG4752. There are Les Schwab tire stickers on the backside.

Troop 2011 is chartered by VFW Post 1508 in Wildomar and is made up of 19 local boys who reside in Canyon Lake, Lake Elsinore, and Wildomar.

Anyone with information about the stolen trailer is asked to contact the Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station at 951-245-3300.
