With the public’s assistance, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Lake Elsinore Traffic Team identified the suspect who fled the scene of a fatal traffic collision involving a pedestrian and vehicle on February 18 on Riverside Drive in the City of Lake Elsinore.
The collision resulted in the death of 44-year-old Joshua Nichols, who was located in the roadway and pronounced deceased at the scene.
Following an investigation, two suspects were arrested on February 20. Amber Lauren Lievanos, a 20-year-old resident of Lake Elsinore, was booked for vehicular manslaughter. Brody Aaron Bird, also a 20-year-old resident of Lake Elsinore, was booked for accessory after the fact.
Both suspects posted bail and were released the following day.
