The 46th Annual Valley Quilters Guild Quilt Show is set to take place on Friday, February 13, and Saturday, February 14, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Valley-Wide Recreation Center at 901 W. Esplanade in San Jacinto.
This two-day event will feature more than 100 handcrafted quilts, showcased in a variety of categories highlighting the artistry, skill, and creativity of local quilters. Awards will be presented in various categories.
Demonstrations by Guild members will be held throughout the show, offering tips and insights into various quilting methods. Additional highlights include opportunity drawings, the 2nd Time Around Shop, vendors, and more.
This year’s featured quilter is Canyon Lake resident Kathy Barbay, who will have a selection of her quilts on display throughout the show.
The Valley Quilters Guild Quilt Show is open to the public and welcomes quilting enthusiasts and community members of all ages. Admission is $10. Children three and younger are free. For more information, visit www.valleyquilters.org.
Founded in 1981, the Valley Quilters Guild of Hemet is a nonprofit with more than 90 members. Its purpose is to promote sociability, fellowship, cooperation, and exchange of ideas among those interested in or engaged in quilting, to work on community projects in quilting, and to further the interest of members in the art of quilting. Proceeds from ticket sales allow the Guild to sponsor scholarships for local high school graduating seniors.
