The Canyon Lake Tuesday Work Group (TWG) is inviting residents to roll up their sleeves and lend a hand during Divot Day on Monday, May 12, at 8:30 a.m. at the golf course.
Volunteers are needed to help fill hundreds of divots on the course, helping to keep it in top condition for everyone to enjoy.
No experience is necessary—just a willingness to help out. This event will last about approximately two hours. As a thank you, volunteers will be treated to complimentary coffee and donuts.
A divot is a piece of turf that is cut out of the ground in the course of playing a stroke. Divots also refer to the hole left where the turf was gouged out. The divots are filled with a mix of sand, dirt, and seed. This process helps to speed up the healing process of the turf.
