Wildomar man arrested in connection with multiple forklifts stolen from Home Depot stores throughout county

An investigation related to multiple forklifts and tools being stolen from local Home Depot stores throughout Riverside County led to the arrest of a Wildomar man.

In December 2022, Lake Elsinore Station Special Enforcement Team (SET) deputies began a theft investigation related to multiple forklifts and tools being stolen from local Home Depot stores throughout Riverside County. Anestacio Delacruz, 45, was identified as the suspect.

On February 1, 2023, SET deputies searched a residence in the 3200 block of Mesa Drive and a storage unit belonging to Delacruz and located approximately three pounds of methamphetamine, more than $50,000 in cash, a California non-compliant rifle, a handgun, several thousand rounds of various caliber ammunition and clothing worn by Delacruz was located at both locations, authorities said.

Delacruz was taken into custody at Railroad Canyon Road and Grape Street and booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center on suspicion of grand theft, stolen vehicle, possession of stolen property, possession of a controlled substance while armed, possession of a controlled substance for sales, felon in possession of firearms, felon in possession of ammunition, and possession of high-capacity magazines. His bail was set at $200,000, jail records show.
