Work is underway on the new playground being installed at Happy Camp. The rear retaining curb was completed last week and the shade structure was installed this week.

On May 5, 2020, the POA Board of Directors approved $152,150 from the Repair and Replacement Fund for the project. The cost includes the playground, shade structure, rubber fall protection, and installation. The project is expected to be completed in the spring.
Once completed, the new playground will feature a modern look similar to the playgrounds installed at Holiday Harbor Park, Sunset Beach, Sierra Park, and Indian Beach.
Happy Camp offers lake views and beach-front camping to Canyon Lake residents and their guests. Recently renovated, Happy Camp features 55 RV sites that accommodate modern size RVs, boat docks, gas dock, restrooms and showers, roped swimming area, shaded picnic areas, fishing spots, horseshoe pits, on-site propane sales, RV dump station, and more.
