Work is underway on the new playground being installed at Happy Camp. The rear retaining curb was completed and the shade structure is scheduled to be installed next week.
Once completed, the new playground will feature a modern look similar to the playgrounds installed at Holiday Harbor Park, Sunset Beach, Sierra Park, and Indian Beach.
The playground is expected to be completed in the spring.
Happy Camp is one of the most unique amenities in Canyon Lake. It offers lake views and beach-front camping to Canyon Lake residents and their guests.
Recently renovated, Happy Camp features 55 RV sites that accommodate modern size RVs, boat docks, a gas dock, restrooms and showers, roped swimming area, shaded picnic areas, horseshoe pits, lighted parking, and more.
