The Canyon Lake Yacht Club invites the community to its third “Concert on the Water” on Saturday, October 3, from 5 to 7 p.m. Dubbed “Boot Scootin’ Boogie,” this event will feature a tribute to the Zac Brown Band. This is not a live concert, music is recorded and played on loudspeakers.
Participating boats will meet at the lodge dock at 5 p.m. and depart at 5:15 p.m. for a leisurely cruise around the main lake. After the cruise, boats will tie up in Catfish Cove in front of the concert boat.
“Bring your food, beverages, swimsuits, floaties, and Aqua Lily pads,” said Vice Commodore Ron Wilbur. “Dance and sing along or just sit and enjoy the music and the evening with your food and drinks.”
Non-boat owners who wish to participate may contact the Yacht Club at [email protected] to inquire about space availability on one of the Yacht Club boats.
The Yacht Club encourages all participants to follow public health guidelines, including social distancing and masks, when appropriate.
Formed in 1990, the Canyon Lake Yacht Club is comprised of members of all ages and interests. Annual membership is $15. Boat ownership is not required to join the club.
