The Canyon Lake Yacht Club will kick off its fall concert season with a “Rock of the 70s Concert on the Water” event on Saturday, October 24, from 3 to 5 p.m. This is not a live concert, music is pre-recorded and played on loudspeakers.
Participating boats will depart from the lodge dock at 3 p.m. After a leisurely cruise around the main lake, the boats will tie up in front of the concert boat in Catfish Cove.
“Bring your warm fall beverages – hot buttered rum, Irish coffee, hot spiced wine, or pumpkin lattes – and appetizers for yourself,” said Vice Commodore Ron Wilbur. “We’re gonna rock! Dance and sing along or just sit and enjoy the music and the evening with your food and drinks.”
Non-boat owners who wish to participate may contact the Yacht Club at [email protected] to inquire about space availability on one of the Yacht Club boats.
The Yacht Club encourages all participants to follow public health guidelines, including social distancing and masks, when appropriate.
Formed in 1990, the Canyon Lake Yacht Club is comprised of members of all ages and interests. Annual membership is $15. Boat ownership is not required to join the club. The Yacht Club hosts several social and philanthropic events throughout the year and gives back to the community through its community events and student scholarship program.
