Update: Due to high temperatures and poor air quality, the Yacht Club will not be holding its dinner meeting at the Community Rock Garden on September 17. Instead, the meeting will be recorded and posted on the club’s YouTube channel.

“We hope the weather will cooperate for our next meeting,” said Vice Commodore Ron Wilbur. “Until then, stay safe and healthy.”

Original story, September 8:

The Canyon Lake Yacht Club will be holding its club dinner meeting virtually and at an outdoor location simultaneously on September 17 from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

The picnic-style meeting will be held at the Community Rock Garden, 29484 Big Range Rd., and will be streamed live on the Yacht Club’s Facebook page for those who wish to attend the meeting virtually.

“We’re coming up with ways to get together during these unusual times and our dinner meetings are another touchpoint for the club.,” said Vice Commodore Ron Wilbur.

Members and guests attending the outdoor meeting are asked to bring their own dinner, beverages, and lawn chair.

Members will be updated on the club’s new and upcoming activities and hear from guest speaker Chris Poland, Canyon Lake POA president.

“We only have a few dinner meetings each year and they’re an essential part of the club’s charter,” said Wilbur. “So don’t miss out on our last two fun and informative meetings.”
