The Canyon Lake Yacht Club Commodore, Rob Mora, will be hosting a clinic for boat owners who plan to participate in the annual Parade of Lights boat parade.

The clinic, set for Saturday, November 9, at 2 p.m. at 22309 Canyon Lake Drive South, will provide an opportunity for first-time participants to learn valuable tips and tricks from parade veterans.

The clinic will cover a variety of topics, including ideas for themes, tricks and hacks for lighting, and the best and most cost-effective products to make decorating easier and more fun. Participants will hear from past parade winners who will share their insights and best practices for creating award-winning entries.

Twenty-one boats participated in last year’s parade. This year, the Yacht Club is aiming to have 30 boats participating. The club is calling on all Canyon Lake clubs to participate in this year’s parade. “We thought it would be cool for each club to come up with a boat theme to promote your club and join in on the parade,” Mora said. “Entering a boat is one of the most special ways a club can give back to the community, for the most unique event of the entire year!”
