The Canyon Lake Library has wrapped up its second Kindle Challenge for Kids, a growing program designed to encourage young readers to dive into books.
Sponsored by Canyon Lake residents Lori and Todd Stover, the challenge invited children 6 through 18 to participate in the reading program for a chance to win a new Kindle.
More than 450 books were read during the reading challenge, with two participants earning new Kindle tablets.
The next Kindle Challenge will run from December 1 through February 28, 2026, and will feature two age categories: 5-9 and 10-18. Stover said he would like to see more teens participate in the next challenge.
One winner from each age group will receive a new Kindle tablet. Participants must register through the library and use a special challenge code.
