POA employee Harmony McNaughton announced that she will be leaving the POA to relocate to the State of New York, effective in early October.
A 17-year employee of the POA and a Canyon Lake resident since 2016, McNaughton said she will miss the community and her co-workers. “It was an honor to serve my own community for so many years,” McNaughton said. “Although I’m looking forward to a new endeavor, I will miss everyone dearly.”
McNaughton’s journey with the POA began when she was in high school and was hired as a seasonal swim instructor. Through the years, McNaughton worked her way up to the position of director of corporate administration. She has served in the positions of member services clerk, corporate receptionist, corporate administration specialist, communications and marketing specialist, public information officer and clerk of the board and has earned professional credentials that include Certified Community Association Manager—Large Scale and Certified Manager of Community Associations certifications.
Having worked in the POA’s Corporate office for more than 12 years, McNaughton has worked closely with general managers and various boards of directors.
In February, McNaughton received the prestigious 2024 California Association of Community Managers (CACM) Innovator Vision Award. The highest distinction bestowed upon California community managers, the Vision Awards program identifies those who exemplify the very best in the profession of community management, honors their contributions to the profession, and recognizes the positive difference they have made in the lives of their colleagues, association homeowners, and the communities they serve.
