Canyon Lake’s 38th Annual Parade of Lights Boat Parade will create holiday splendor on the water on Saturday, December 12. Boats will lineup at the East Port Park boat launch area at 4:30 p.m. The parade will start at 5:30 p.m. with the Yacht Club’s iconic Green Dragon leading the way.

Boats will show off their holiday spirit with festive lights and colorful displays as they parade through the East Bay and around the main part of the lake. The boats will not be going into the coves this year.

Traditionally, the parade ends with the boats docking at Holiday Harbor Park where everyone gathers for refreshments and the awards ceremony; however, due to restrictions on public gatherings, there will not be a gathering or an awards ceremony at the end of the parade this year. Instead, the winners will be announced via social media and will be presented with their awards in the days after the event.

The Yacht Club encourages all boat owners to participate in the parade. Entry forms must be received by Friday, December 11. “Day of” signups will not be accepted this year. Entry forms are available on the Yacht Club’s website at www.canyonlakeyachtclub.com.

The Yacht Club will be producing the event live on Facebook as a way of providing a safe viewing experience during this unusual year. More information will be posted on the Yacht Club’s website a few days before the event. For additional information about the Parade of Lights, contact Vice Commodore Ron Wilbur at 949-466-6159 or [email protected].
