From February 17 to March 17, 80 arrests (59 misdemeanors and 21 felonies) were made and 18 tons of rubbish were removed during a zero-tolerance Quality of Life Operation and Homeless Outreach in the cities of Lake Elsinore and Wildomar and unincorporated areas of Lakeland Village, Temescal Canyon, and Warm Springs.
In a collaborative effort, the Lake Elsinore Sheriff Station’s Special Enforcement Team in conjunction with the City of Lake Elsinore Code Enforcement, County of Riverside West County Code Enforcement, and the Social Work Action Group (SWAG) concentrated on frequently described “problem areas.”
Forty-seven of the individuals arrested accepted services offered to them and will be entering a program for substance abuse treatment upon their release from custody, according to Sergeant Jeff Reese.
